Classification Societies play a vital role in ensuring that vessels remain seaworthy, environmentally compliant, and safe for crew, cargo, and passengers. Port State Control (PSC) is the inspection regime that verifies foreign ships visiting national ports comply with international conventions on safety, security, and environmental performance.
Each year, these MoUs publish Performance Tables / Rankings for Classification Societies. These rankings are based on the number of detentions recorded during PSC inspections of vessels classed by each society. In a similar manner, Liberian Registry is going to provide the rankings of the Classification Societies based on their PSC performance of the Liberian fleet vessels. High-Performing Societies have lesser detention ratio than the Liberian fleet. Low-Performing Societies highlight higher detention ratio than the Liberian fleet
